Barley for Wellness



Who would not want to be healthy. Everyone would like to live a healthy lifestyle. Illness won't choose any age, if you are about to be infected with any illness you will as long as you will not live a healthy lifestyle.



WHAT IS BARLEY?
According to wikipedia a member of the grass family, is a major cereal grain, Important uses include use as animal fodder, as a source of fermentable material for beer and certain distilled beverages and as a component of various health foods. It is used in soups and stews, and in barley bread of various cultures. Barley grains are commonly made into malt in a traditional and ancient method of preparation.

ONE BMS RUN 2013

When I started running and loose weight at the same time. I quit every vices I have and I promised to myself that I'll focus in this sport. And finally I can say I am a RUNNER! proud as you might say.
When I first joined a fun run it was for the environment. Now I run for a cause again. Running is my sport now, joining fun runs is a plus.But not just any fun runs okay. I always make sure that my money I paid for registration will hel a lot of people.
 
 
Now here was the story, My best buddy and I bumped into a tall and cute guy handing us brochures of One BMS and he also showed us their singlet. What makes me like the run is because of the color of the singlet and when I heard that this was for the benefit of the blind people. I said I will run for this event. Sad thing was they were out of registration forms when we went to their booth. So we went home empty handed of their race kits.
After that sad part I went online and visit takbo.ph or pinoyfitness.com (websites, my friends and I always visit.) I checked on the registration sites and fees for the said Run.
 
February 24 that was the last registration, I asked my older brother to take me to Trinoma. There, I went to Toby's and saw Nico a med student ( he said when I asked him) He was just sitting there and waiting for anyone who would like to join their run for a cause. I was sad when I heard that there are only Large size for singlets that was because the size is too loose for me. But then again for me it was okay because I had registered up to the last minute. After the registration, I went staright to Marikina to train for my up coming first 10 Kilometers run.

My New Years resolution was to have healthy lifestyle this year. That was to eat healthy foods, go on a diet (more vegetables) and more exercise. Because of my work, I lack all of these. I got fat because of the lifestyle I have for the past 6 years of working.

Chocolate cake for Valentines.

 How to make a home made chocolate cake for Valentines?

 Want to surprise your loved ones? here is an easy way to make a chocolate cake.

INGREDIENTS:
• 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
• 1-1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
• 1 tbsp Vinegar
• 1 tsp Vanilla
• 1 cup Sugar
• 1 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1/3 cup Oil
• 1 cup Water

  
INSTRUCTIONS:
•    Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
•    Mix liquid ingredients in a separate bowl and combine it with dry ingredients.
•    Stir the mixture with a wire whisk until well mixed.
•    Grease an eight-inch baking pan.
•    Pour the prepared mixture into the pan.
•    Bake for about 45 minutes at 350 degree F.
•    Top with ice cream,cookies or mallows and serve.
